3.3 TRAINING SYSTEM/Clients

The approach would be to copy all Production Master Data to the TRAINING Systems/Clients.
 
Many training systems are not updated with a continual stream of Production Data and usually require training staff to laboriously recapture data to facilitate training. Training systems are usually run on a smaller hardware platform and would not cope with full Production Data. The paradigm is that Training systems need to be small and flexible. What is needed is a tool like Intedex that can transfer small volumes of quality data to facilitate the training exercises using real Production Master Data. In this way the users are already familiar with the data and the process is easier to train.

The first step would be to create a system copy of Production to QA. It would then be possible to take a Configuration Copy of QA to provide the basis for creating a TRAINING Clients. The new System would be a fraction of Production’s size. A REQUEST/MODEL will be set up in Intedex to extract all master data from Production and write it to TRAIN. This MODEL can be re-used to refresh the system with up to date Production data and refresh unwanted transactions.
