Many data migration tools are very good as software goes. The downside in our view
is the targeted
user to drive the tool.
SAP has a very powerful tool that can perform ANY data
migration, create any report and in fact
build complete applications. It is called ABAP. Unfortunately for a business analyst to use it we
would have to train the business analyst to be a programmer. This should demonstrate that
although a tool may be very competent it must still be written for the person who will use it.
Siamease aims at a non-technical, user driven approach with guides to lead users through
the

loaded. So the intellectual capital gained in the project is not invested in external resources and
lost
once consultants walk off site.
