Siamease provides functionality that empowers the business analyst to manage the data
in their
specialist application area. Allowing data to be extracted, cleaned and reapplied.
Siamease can access the
SAP database and use the information as an input into a maintenance
transaction.
E.g. Siamease can be instructed
to find all open sales orders, for each it can be told to check
stock availability. In this process, an open order may close if no more stock can be delivered to the
order. This in turn would free stock that may have been reserved for the order, but cannot be
delivered.
In the example above the functionality was simple, but for a user to go into each
order and press the
stock availability button would be a massive task. Not to mention that it should be done daily.
In essence, Siamease can
be used as a search and replace tool, but still maintaining data integrity
by doing the changes through the SAP standard transaction screens.
