Interfacing is simply another way of performing an ongoing / repetitive data migration. The Siamease methodology suggests that even interfaces should be driven by Business analysts. This means that the Business Analyst should determine how data should be posted into the system. What screens and fields should be captured, what business impact and actions should be done.

Using Siamease the business analyst can define an interface, test it with a spreadsheet using test data and hand this over to the technical team.

At this point the technical teams responsibility would be to build the conduit between the legacy system and the Siamease program. The technical team would build conversions were necessary or added validations.
