1.5 Rule Based
A key objective for Siamease is to eliminate unnecessary steps in the data migration process. Experience has shown that all aspects of data migration are repeated several times over. Each repetition requiring the same effort and often at a cost to the project.
Siamease introduces a data migration methodology that defines a rule based migration. This allows for data to be uploaded to Siamease in its raw legacy format and converted to SAP using the power of the SAP system. Mapping for example is extremely easy to build in Siamease and can be used to perform conversions between old and new coding systems. Dynamic mapping allows for mapping where the SAP code is unknown at the time of data preparation.

Advanced automatic features
There are really advanced features that work automatically to make the users life easier, some of these include a validation layer, dynamic mapping, a results database and a host of other components.

Auto correction and validation
The validation layer not only allows data verification but has the ability to AutoCorrect obvious errors

Mapping
The mapping layer consists of easy user defined static mapping as well as automatic dynamic mapping. This means that when a customer is loaded in the system, Siamease can dynamically map the old legacy customer to the new SAP customer number in any future load.

Rule Based
Mappings and conversions can be defined in SAP, Siamease thereafter can accepts legacy data and automatically convert it to new SAP codes. Conversion is therefore done using a powerful SAP system, rather than converting data outside on PC's or slower legacy systems. It also means that data can be validated against real data already loaded into SAP. This avoids having to perform additional extracts out of SAP to feed back to legacy systems. It also means that the data can be re extracts from the legacy system at the last possible moment and loaded.
