When Siamease was developed it had to achieve four key objectives.
- It had to be simple enough
for people, who were not familiar with SAP, to use without consulting.
- It had to cut out as many
laborious tasks as possible such as data mapping and conversion.
The second objective firmly supports the first.
- The data migration process had to
be transparent and not done through the back door. Back
door loads require enormous manual checking of each item loaded as well as audit reports to
validate data load afterwards.
Non-technical
The Siamease data migration process is actually very simple and requires no technical
knowledge
nor programming. For example, if you have data in a spreadsheet, the data can be copied to the
windows clipboard and from there Siamease will do the rest. Siamease will even create a template
spreadsheet for you to guide you through the process.
Loaded via transaction
screens
All data migration is done via the SAP transaction screens electronically. The process
is transparent
and the built in validations in each transaction are automatically enforced. Obvious errors in data
are
automatically corrected by Siamease to smooth the process.
